MIL/DO testing solutions for Teslab, Italy
In the heart of Italy’s military activities, we recently delivered a brand new chamber for Teslab that complies with MIL-STD-461 and DO-160 standards. Why a third chamber? Uliana Trucchi, Senior Technical Consultant at Comtest Engineering, states: “Teslab is a highly successful and fast-growing test facility, founded in Livorno, Tuscany, about thirty years ago by three brilliant men. One of them is Giorgio Romano, my primary contact during this project.
We asked two of our technical consultants what they learnt from three days at EMV 2025 in Stuttgart last week. Vincent van de Vrie (photo centre): “Some very interested people were exploring the EMC chamber options we displayed at our booth. They found it interesting to see what kind of chambers they could get and were surprised we displayed the prices. It made it easier to align their budget with our portfolio of solutions and created an opportunity for a follow-up. Visitors told me they found our new concept daring but also very clear and transparent.”
Marc Le Roy (photo right): “Visitors were enthusiastic about the 3D models we unveiled at the exhibition. I saw several customers and even a competitor come onto our stand with a colleague to explain what a specific type of chamber looks like!”
Our expert in reverberation testing, Dimitrios Barakos, was invited to discuss the future of reverb chambers. He is the one in the photo with the arrow. In the panel, you can see Martin Aidam (Daimler Benz, Germany), Vignesh Rajamani (Rohde & Schwarz), Mathias Magdowski (Otto von Guericke University, Magdeburg, Germany), and Frank Leferink (Thales / Universiteit Twente, Netherlands).
Do not hesitate to contact Vincent or Marc if you want a worry-free EMC testing solution.
