How to comply with local and international regulations
Successfully complying with both Mexican and international regulations to perform EMC testing on electronic equipment for telecommunications and automotive industries in a Semi-Anechoic Chamber (SAC) was the key challenge for the test house giant Intertek Latinoamérica & Caribbean in Mexico.

This huge anechoic chamber has a 10m test distance, making it one of the largest in our 40-year history. It was installed by our RFT-Systems representatives in Asia. Their General Manager, Luo Yuxiang, gladly shares the chamber’s specifications.
Luo Yuxiang: “This chamber meets the latest version requirements of ANSI C63.4, EN50147-2, or CISPR 16-1-4 and has a 7m diameter quiet zone with a height of 2.5m.”
On our side, the project was managed by Hanneke Mertens – Van Veen, who was impressed by the project requirements. Hanneke: “Despite the chamber’s unique requirements, we managed to process it from purchase to installation in a relatively short time, partly thanks to the team from RFT-Systems. Their client knew exactly what they wanted, which ensured a smooth and efficient process. But looking at the photos again, it’s mostly a very impressive chamber!”
