Step Two of the Comtest Five-Step Process: Design
How to find the perfect test chamber without any stress? In this post, we delve into step 2 of our Worry-Free Five-Step Process: detailing a chamber design with Britt Links from our Design Department.

âReverberation Chambers for Antenna and Communications Testing up to sub-THz Frequencies.’ This was the topic that Sander Bronckers from Technische Universiteit Eindhoven discussed at the Dutch Antenna Range Operator Meeting (DAROM) held at our Zoeterwoude (NL) office last Friday.
After Sanderâs talk, we organised a tour of our Comtest Experience, where several colleagues demonstrated the latest skills and developments within our company. This was followed by lunch and a presentation by our R&D Specialist, Dmitriy Penkin, titled âTypical Shielding Effectiveness Levels of Microwave Absorbers in UHF & SHF Ranges.â
Eric van der Houwen, Antenna Test Engineer at European Space Agency – ESA, discussed the latest developments at the ESA-ESTEC Antenna Measurement Facilities. Bastian Balk, Market Segment Manager for Automotive Full Vehicle Antenna Test/EMC at Rohde & Schwarz, delivered a presentation titled âPerforming OTA Measurements in an EMC RangeâA Real or False Good Idea?â
