The Black Forest Testlab Journey
Behind this chamber lies an unexpected and remarkable story of courage and entrepreneurship that we really need to share with you. On June 1, 2024, two young and ambitious technicians in Germany, Josip Brkic and Francesco Iemma, moved into the building housing their company, Black Forest Testlab, with the fully compliant CISPR-16 Anechoic Chamber shown in the photo, which we built for them.

Why did we build a complete LUF-400 Reverberation Chamber in our own production facility? “For cost and environmental reasons, we ship our chambers preferably as complete as possible,” says Ron Ligtvoet, responsible for all our logistics.
Ron: “The only limitation is the size of the containers our chambers are shipped in. This means that most of our chambers are too large to ship pre-assembled, but smaller ones like this LUF-400 do fit. It saves us from sending an installation crew to the client and all the associated costs and CO2 emissions.
By the way, this version of our LUF-400 is a special one with a custom-made, man-sized door. Normally, the door is smaller and more like a hatchet, but this particular client requested a solution that makes entering this relatively small chamber easier for their colleagues.”
