How to improve the test chamber design process?
Why did we just hire an experienced designer passionate about process improvement? Michel Lausberg embodies all those qualities and outlines the future of chamber development. But first, don’t we already know him?

Our new HR Manager, Linda Bos, has worked for many companies over the years, but now she wants to join the Comtest family. How did she find the experience of being match-made herself, for a change? Linda: ‘It was fun to be soliciting for a position as a human resource professional. When I read about this position, I spoke to the recruiter and started to investigate Comtest Engineering.’
What did you find out about us?
Linda Bos: ‘First impression: a technology-driven organisation. After that, it was mainly the way communication was managed, such as in news messages, that revealed there is also a creative side to the company. There were the 40-year-anniversary messages, which showed a high level of pride and happiness. For me, these are important cultural indicators.’
Now that you are part of our company or family, what were your first few weeks like?
Linda: ‘When you’re working with so many different types of people, what gets you through is, above all, empathy and interest. I start by walking from desk to desk, scheduling 10-minute chats that often last half an hour, during which I hear all sorts of things. It’s funny, too: when I ask ‘What do we do?’, I get lots of different answers, and everyone explains it in their own way. In such a small organisation, I can also speak to everyone. I quickly identify pain points, and I’ve noticed that the production staff are very eager to talk about their work – like Gerco, who’s explaining in the photo how we make sure our doors close without any leaks. I really like that. But I also pay attention to non-verbal reactions. That’s a powerful tool.’
If you’re interested in joining the Comtest family, we have an open position for an extra production technician. You can find more information via the link in the comments or by sending a message to Linda Bos.
