Tips & Trends for 2026: #5: More TEMPEST Shielded Rooms
“Security will enter a new stage in 2026, but we are prepared.” In a series of five posts, our specialists share trends and developments for 2026. This week, Vincent van de Vrie, from our team of Technical Consultants, highlights the growing demand for higher levels of protection.

At EuMW 2025 in Utrecht (NL), we met with our friends John Melas and Dave Moore of Melcom Electronics Limited from Chertsey (UK). They have recently joined our international network of reselling partners and will be our exclusive distribution channel for the UK and Ireland.
John Melas (in the photo in the middle), CEO of Melcom Electronics: “This partnership further strengthens our comprehensive range of EMC solutions, and our culture aligns very well with Comtest, who are dedicated to providing the right, long-term solution to customers through proven, robust technology.”
Vincent van de Vrie (in the photo on the right), Technical Consultant at Comtest Engineering, states: “We look at the UK and Ireland as a market with great potential for us, and we are increasingly focusing on regions that share our attitude and culture. From that perspective, working with the Melcom team is a delight.”
Melcom Electronics has over three decades of experience in providing advanced Components, Modules and Test Solutions in the field of RF, Microwave, and EMC solutions in the UK and Ireland.
