Blue lines for safety and efficiency

If you ever received a shipment with boxes missing, you know how annoying that can be. To avoid that, our production manager André Oostdam prepared a part of the Comtest warehouse for a safe and efficient area for shipment preparations.

André: “When we moved into this building almost five years ago, the floors looked like those of a sports arena: lines in green, red, yellow and yellow/black were all over the floor. I had all those lines removed, and we applied Comtest-blue lines instead. Storage is only permitted between those lines for a clear path with emergency exits.
But it’s not only for safety: when we prepare a shipment, all boxes must be stowed in their designated space. And we know nothing has been forgotten when this space is empty after loading. It makes work efficient and our clients happy.”
